Kendall H. Gewalt, President, is a member of the Marin County Sheriff’s Department. She spent her early years in Davos Switzerland, obtained her BA in English at the University of Arizona and began her career as a writer and copy editor in Tucson, Toronto, Ontario and in the Napa Valley. She then pursued graduate studies in Instructional Technology before settling in the Bay Area. Ms. Gewalt is active in a variety of sport and civic organizations and raises funds every year for CAGIM and cancer research.
Martha Ehrenfeld, Secretary, is a Primary/Secondary Education Consultant and Contractor in San Francisco. Martha has worked as an upper-elementary science teacher, and has also worked to improve technology integration in New York public and private schools. She has a BA in geology from Bryn Mawr, a 5th-year certificate in science education from the University of Vermont, and an MA in educational administration from New York University.
Marianne Vicencio, Treasurer, is Regional Manager of Strategic Decision Support for the Sutter Health West Bay Region. Marianne has 20+ years experience in the hospital and healthcare industries focusing on strategic planning, clinical analytics, market research, and patient safety initiatives. Marianne also serves on the Board of the East Bay chapter of Amigos de las Americas. AMIGOS focus on youth leadership training and community development in Latin America. Marianne holds a BS in Management Science from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business.
Dawn Knight, Director, is Chief Quality Officer at DABO Health. She formerly heald the position of Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety at John Muir Health in Walnut Creek, California. Dawn is also a past President of Board of Directors for Las Trampas, a nonprofit, community-based 501 (c) 3 organization serving adults with developmental disabilities. She holds a Master of Science degree in Health Administration from California State University Fresno.
Brenda Geehrer-Todd, Director, is an educator specializing in speech pathology in Margaretville, New York. Sister to Christine Geehrer, after whom the Award is named, Brenda is employed by the Central High School in Margaretville, New York and is engaged in numerous civic and philanthropic organizations in New York. She holds a Masters of Science with a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology.
